At Cairde Festival 2016 with Mark Willis

In 2016 I released The Soft Animal, an album of atmospheric folk songs about the things that matter most, ten years ago this week. This is also when I met Mark Willis of Bluestack Records who helped release the album and has had a hand in my releases since. Mark runs an indie label and has been instrumental in putting out not just my music but also releases from Irish acts such as Winter Aid, Ambience Affair and most recently FRMR. The world needs music lovers like Mark, dreamers and doers with an idea they feel compelled to execute, be it a carefully curated music night, a series of music shows, an idea for a new social enterprise … something which can be quite a challenge amidst the many demands life can put on us.
